Palenville Camera Club

To find the Palenville Photography Group from Catskill take 23A heading west to Palenville/Hunter. Go straight uphill from the stop light at route 32. Continue straight through the light in Palenville and look for an old hotel on the left that has a bar. We meet in the library which is the next building on the left. If you go too far there is a gas station on the right.

From the Saugerties exit of the New York State Thruway head north on Route 32. At a Y in the road by a gas station/convenience store take the left on to route 32A. At the light in Palenville go left on to route 23A and look for an old hotel on the left that has a bar. We meet in the library which is the next building on the left. If you go too far there is a gas station on the right.

Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. This relaxed group reviews photos by members either from the "subject list" that follows or anything you want to show to the group. Contact the Palenville Club through these email addresses:

JANUARY 8  SUBJECT -Wild and reckless in a small negative space (part of the composition

JANUARY 15 Take photos of each other - Del will lead and provide equipment as needed.



FEBRUARY 5 SUBJECT -Five emotions - pick one at random-Looking back to the January 15th meeting, 
	print the photos taken during that exercise and use an emotion for critique

FEBRUARY 19  Group interactive program on composition everyone bring in written information 
	on composition followed by discussion

 

MARCH 5 SUBJECT -Take 21 steps past your front door and photograph what you see, any angle.

MARCH 19  Program - image editing on a shoestring - Dan Burkholder will lead = examples of 
	image editing programs, including "Snapseed"



APRIL 2 SUBJECT -Important object, treat as if it were a sacred relic - pay attention to lighting

APRIL 16 Program - Learn about macro photography - Bob Stauffer to lead



MAY 7 SUBJECT -Walk to an area you normally drive past and make a photo of something you would overlook.
